from Bill Lamey 78

Due to an early 78 disc by Bill Lamey this Scottish strathspey is popular in Cape Breton. In the 1990s it was recorded by Natalie MacMaster on her CD, My Roots are Showing and by Ashley MacIsaac on Close to the Floor.

Charles Grant was a school teacher and amateur fiddler. His collection was published c.1820. He inherited William Marshall's fiddle.
