An Historic Recording of Irish Traditional Music from County Clare and East Galway

If given my choice of ten recordings to take to a desert island this would definitely be one of them! One of the most influential LP recordings of its day (1959) we are fortunate to see it one back in circulation again. Classic settings of popular tunes joyfully played. Lovely piano accompaniment.

Johnny Wilmot owned the origianl; LP and hence some of this repertoire circulates in Cape Breton
