A few years back I composed the above tune. When I tried to write it down I realized it was actually in 3/2 time so we called it The Slip Reel (slip jigs are counted in threes so this seemed to be a logical name. My friend Otis composed The Slippery Eel as a companion tune. To me it has a bit of an Appalachian feel to it. We usually play them together (sometimes mixed in a medley with 'normal' reels).
For variation in the A part you might start with a lower octave A note (quarter note)
