This strathspey has been circulating in Cape Breton since the '60s. We known that Dan Hughie MacEachern had a hand written manuscript which he shared with many friends. Carl MacKenzie got his copy from from that source - (indirectly through Doug MacPhee). Stylistically it is reminiscent of something J. Murchdoch Henderson might have composed. Henderson died in 1972.
