Michael Coleman 1891-1945

Published in G minor in Ryans Mammoth, This setting is my own - a composite from Johnny Wilmot who loosely adapted what he had heard from the Coleman's 78 duet recording with Packie Dolan (sound clip).

On the Coleman 78, the two fiddles were playing octaves while in Johnny's setting he fuses the two, making a first and 2nd ending in different octaves for the A part. As well Johnny kept the F naturals and F sharps distinctive - giving more contrast to the turns.
