Students from the Féis Cape Breton Musical Mentorship Program (including Nora MacNeil, Jessie Helen MacNeil. Olivier Broussard, Julien Broussard, Elizabeth MacInnis, Lili Watson & Mairin Campbell) made this tune with guidance from mentor, fiddle-piano player Wendy MacIsaac, on a day dedicated to learning more about Cape Breton composers and the art of composing. Part of an initiative called Féis Cheap Breatuinn, the program is co-ordinated by the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in partnership with Celtic Colours International Festival. Intermediate/advanced fiddlers, pipers, guitarists and piano players meet once a month to build skill, repertoire and a deeper understanding and appreciation of traditional music.
