Archives, high enough praise. Dave's accompanist,
pianist Mary Jessie MacDonald, always manages to bring the
best out of a fiddler. This recording is no exception.
Consisting mainly of fiddle medleys, there are also a number

1949 In his early years, Dave
MacIsaac learned the fiddle from his father, the late Alex
Dan MacIsaac, and today David has an individualistic
oldstyle, very rare in this day and age. I would describe David's
choice of repertoire as older Scottish music &endash; both
from written and aural sources.
