In the 1950s Chris learned this setting in Dublin from fiddler John Dwyer. It is similar to the setting found in Roche's Collection

Patrick Wallis (sic) was born in 1773, in County Limerick. He joined the United Irishmen and was chosen as commanding officer for the division at Moorestown. He was arrested by the local landlord for allegedly raising money, to have him (the landlord), assassinated. He was tortured to get him to reveal all he knew about the United Irishmen, but he remained silent. He was eventually executed and his head put on a stake (hence Staker).
